Fall in the Desert

Autumn isn't the same in the desert like it is in the typical fall pictures. I do miss Washington and the leaves changing color and the crisp cool air.

However, there is something a little bit beautiful about fall in the desert. Waking up early in the morning and it's cold, the smell of the morning (I swear, if you smell the morning in the desert now, it just smells like "fall"), the warm 80-90 degree days, saving your sweaters until nighttime and the big coats until winter - all of it feels a bit like home.

Also - even if it's not particularly fall-like outside, it is inside. My mom goes all out each year with the fall decorations and I even decorated my room a bit.
