This past weekend, starting at 3:40 a.m. on Friday, I traveled to Columbia, MO, to see my sister and her boyfriend graduate from the University of Missouri.
I had an incredible weekend and I didn't want to leave. We didn't do that much - mostly packing up their apartment. However, just being able to see my sister, parents, and my sister's boyfriend, was really nice. It's been awhile since seeing each.
I stayed at my sister and her boyfriend's apartment - sleeping on the 'oh-so-comfortable' futon, playing with their bunny, Sandy, helping them pack, watching Unfriended and the Jobros: Concert Experience (real nostalgia, there), and just had a good 'ol time, really.
The next time I'll be seeing my sister, most likely, will be next year when I graduate. That's a little less than a year - but a very long time not seeing your best friend. I don't know when I'll see her boyfriend either, who is a good, but quite weird friend (heh).
It was just a very lovely weekend not doing anything really extravagant - you know, except for the fact that my sister and her boyfriend are now full-fledged adults!
I am incredibly proud of my sister, Heather, and her boyfriend, David for graduating. I wish them all the best and I know they'll succeed wherever they go. Now, they're headed to NYC!
