On my birthday, we went to Salem, Massachusetts. It was magical. Pun attended. We visited the Salem Witch Museum, the Witch House, Jolie Tea Company (which has just landed the spot of my second favorite tea, behind Harney & Sons!), Old Burying Point Cemetery, Derby Square, Ye Olde Pepper Companie, Mercy Tavern for dinner, and Captain Dusty's Ice Cream for dessert (which I highly recommend the Chocolate Raspberry flavor). We ended the day with chatting and visiting with my aunt and uncle and their dog.
On the tenth day, we did laundry and visited with my dad's side of the family - my aunt and my uncle, my uncle, and my grandfather as they all went through family photos. I looked at the photos and also worked on a difficult puzzle that was frustrating my grandfather, that apparently my parents gifted him several years ago.
Before leaving Westford, we visited my grandmother's grave in Billerica. Then we drove on up to North Hampton, New Hampshire, driving through two-lane roads to avoid the traffic. We surprised my dad's high school friend's daughter who works at a brewery, Throwback Brewery, and we surprised her at the brewery where she is a hostess. We drank good beer, chatted with Abby, and ate some good snacks. Later, we met with my sister, Heather, and her fiancé, David, at the train station and drank some beer and ate some good food at Smuttynose Brewery.
