Travel Journal: Central and West Seattle

Last week, I traveled down to the Seattle area (Bellevue, Seattle, Bothell, etc.) for the Bumbershoot Music Festival. There was quite an adventure with the wristband the night before, but I won’t bore you with those details (or I just don’t want to relive my stupidity). Anyway, I had an amazing day on the Monday of Bumbershoot. The day was filled with giant bricks of curly fries, new and old music discoveries, sweat and sun, and laughs with a great friend. My favorites include: Børns, Brandon Flowers, The Moth & The Flame, and Hozier.

I stayed with my friend Perry for a few nights. On the Tuesday, we drove down to Alki Beach in West Seattle and met up with some Seattle photojournalists later in the evening.

In our exploration, Perry, her mom and I viewed the Seattle skyline, walked a great distance to a beautiful beach, ate fish and chips, refreshed at Starbucks, and bought some on sale CDs at a record store.

I also loved getting the opportunity to meet some really nice women and hearing how they started in the wonderful world of photography. I am grateful as they told me if whenever I need help, I can connect with them. Thank you, ladies!
